How to Quickly Get Rid of Tired Eyes (And 2 Extra Tips to Prevent it!)
A friend of mine recently asked me how to get rid of tired eyes and I thought that the topic would make for a great blog post.There are many reasons as to why you might experience tired-looking eyes (i.e. not enough sleep/water, etc.) and there are many ways to heal it over time, but there is only one way to quickly fix it.
How to Quickly Get Rid of Tired Eyes
Time it takes: 15 minutes
What You'll Need:
- Two clean spoons
- A freezer
After waking up and before washing your face, place two clean spoons on a clean surface in your freezer, then go about your morning hygiene. Grab your spoons and quickly and lightly tap the spoons onto your eyes. The coolness of the metal will instantly depuff and energize your eyes. Be careful not to hold it there too long or you'll get freezer burn. Repeat until you feel awake and your eyes feel less puffy.
Tips to Help Prevent Tired Eyes:
- Get some sleep! We all know that we should be getting at least seven hours of sleep a night (eight if we're lucky!) Try your best to get in bed early, turn off or silent all distractions.
- Drink more water! My eyes look and feel most tired when i'm dehyrdated so make sure to drink lots of water (especially during the summer). Don't forget to drink extra water when you drink caffeine - this will help flush out the caffeine thus helping you sleep better and keep hydrated.
