May Faves! Blogger, Makeup, Skincare & YouTuber!

Hi guys, happy Monday! I've had the craziest two weeks. First I took a little vacay to California with my boyfriend, Angel, to visit his family. You probs won't believe me, but this was my first time to California ever. CRAZY RIGHT?! I did a lot of makeup shopping at stores that we don't have here in Hawaii and I also at a lot (#sorrynotsorry; although my body was definitely crying during my workout on Thursday). Anyways. that happened and then as soon as I got back I jumped right back into work finalizing the planning of this big awards luncheon that our team puts on every year. Talk about exhausted. πŸ˜…

Anyways, i'm glad to be back home and i'm hoping to put in more work on my blog and social media (lol, I swear I always say this in every blog post). I hope you enjoy my May favorites! What's yours?

Hi guys! Here's a roundup of my May favorites feat. my favorite makeup & skincare products and YouTuber! Read more at beautybyjessika.com.Β

Blogger

Melyssa Griffin: My favorite blogger atm is Melyssa Griffin (formerly The Nectar Collective). I've been following Melyssa since she first started her blog. At the time she was a teacher in Japan and she had just gotten her cute corgi puppy Monja. She has grown so much over the years and now she is doing big things as a blogger/entrepreneur. She also shares all of her blogging secrets (which I really love because a sistah needs help, lol). Anyway, I'm so proud of her success and she's worked so hard to get to where she is today. Check out her blog and sign up for her free classes! Totes worth your time. πŸ˜¬

Makeup

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector: This is the perfect tinted moisturizer/foundation for summer and it's broad spectrum SPF20. This formula works so well with Hawaii's humidity and it still looks great on my oily skin. To apply, I dot the product all over my face - concentrating majority of the product on my cheeks - and buff it out with a Beauty Blender.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural: I never realized how much of an addict I am to bronzer until I pulled five full-size bronzers out of my makeup kit. FIVE. Out of the five, my most loved bronzer is the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark Golden. This technically isn't a bronzer, but I picked up a deeper color to use it as a bronzer, I love how natural it looks and that it doesn't have shimmer.

I like to apply this using this fluffy [bronzing] brush on the cheekbones, temples, and jawline to add warmth back into my face (without looking muddy). Looove!

Skincare

Sephora Precision Pore Cleansing Pad: So I thought that I was removing all of my makeup at the end of the day, but I was totes wrong. After removing my makeup, I use this pad with my Murad Acne Time Release Acne Cleanser or Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliator to cleanse and prep my skin for serums and moisturizers. It gently removes all of the dirt and built up gunk and makes my skin feel baby butt soft without tearing at the skin. The best part? It's only $6!

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: I briefly talked about this exfoliating cleanser in my skincare routine blog post last month and this stuff has been sooo good for my skin. I use it twice a week with my precision pore pad. The thing I love the most is that it instantly brightens my skin after using it. Usually you have to wait a few days/weeks until you see results, but not with this one!

YouTuber

Lustrelux: Katy makes me laugh SO hard all the days. She's such a fun person to watch on YouTube & Snapchat; She has a series called Hot New Shit ... how can you not love her?! (Watch HNS Vol. 5 here). Follow her on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat (lusterlux not lustrelux); she will not disappoint!

What were your May favorites? Any new products that I should try? I'm also looking to start a good book. Jessica mentioned You Are a Badass in her latest Wednesday Musings post so I think i'm going to pick that up next. Anyways, hope you all have a nice week and thank you so much for reading!
