June Faves! Blogger, Hair, Makeup and YouTuber
Hi guys! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend ... i'm still visiting family on Kauai, but will be flying back to Honolulu later tonight. This month's favorites include a few of my purchases from my California trip and a few products that I haven't used in a while. What are your favorites for the month of June?
Laura Geller Baked Highlighter 'Ballerina': I've been waiting to get my hands on the Laura Geller Baked Highlighter for so long that when I finally got my hands on it when I went to California last month I almost cried.
I had only planned on getting Gilded Honey but my boyfriend, Angel, made a good point when he said I should stock up since we wouldn't be back to California for a while. I ended up buying Gilded Honey and Ballerina (which I wasn't too crazy about it at the time), but now it's my absolute favorite 😍
Ballerina is the perfect balance of gold and peach and it is just everything. I like to wear it with my everyday no makeup makeup to give myself that lit-from-within glow. It's the perfect highlighter for summer.
Benefit Gimme Brow: Gimme Brow has been the perfect addition to my eyebrow routine. I actually picked up the older version of Gimme Brow (in the brown tube) before the new one launched a few weeks ago.
I like to use it on top of my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz to set the brow color and add texture to the brow hairs.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment: Since chopping my hair chin length, i've been using less conditioner and more multi-purpose styling products. The Living Proof PHD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment has been my favorite for month of June. I only have the travel size but i've already added the full size to the list of products I need to restock on.
After washing my hair, i'll quickly towel dry (I like this microfiber hair wrap from Target) then i'll add a nickel-size amount of product to the ends of my hair to condition and add texture. To add waves, use your hands to scrunch the ends of your hair up toward your scalp (this method works best with lobs and bobs). Unlike other air-drying styling treatments, this one doesn't leave the hair feeling crunchy or weighed down by the product.
The Teacher Diva: Ashley's blog has been my go-to blog to read during the month of June. She has the cutest style (I sooo wish I had her style!) and her photos are pin-worthy. I could read her blog for hours ... Some of my favorite posts from her include her Wear to Work series, her Travel Diaries and any and every hair tutorial she's ever posted.
Vivianna Does Makeup: I recently mentioned Anna's blog as a must-read in this post and have been watching her videos all month. Her videos are beautifully created, she has the best product recommendations and she just sounds super friendly and someone i'd be friend with. Here are my three favorite videos from her: My DIY Manicure Routine, My Weekday Morning Routine and How to Stay Organized.
