Things I Like: August 2017

How zen is this patio at Laylow Waikiki? More Things I Like from August 2017 is up on beautybyjessika.com.

Y'all — August has been craaazy busy! Work has been insane with events and neighbor island travels, but I still managed to celebrate my 26th birthday with a birthday staycation in Waikiki thanks to Angel and get my hair done. I'm supposed to be packing for another weekend work trip but I can tackle that in the morning.

Here are my favorite beauty & lifestyle products that i've been loving on during the month of August. Check out the other things I like here and shop all of my favorites here

Nest Dahlia & Vines

Floral perfumes are my thing and this one by Nest smells refreshingly floral. It's the perfect end of summer scent.

Tarte Drink of H2O Moisturizer

I need a subscription for this moisturizer because it's that good. It's light, oil-free, and great for oily skin (especially while traveling). I'm already on my 4th tub.

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel

This has become my all-time favorite product for short hair. After washing my hair, I take a small amount of product, run it through the ends of my hair and scrunch the ends upward to build texture then air dry.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Bronzer

I originally bought this because I thought it was matte, but when I received it it had shimmers in it. I was going to give it away, but decided to give it a try and fell in love! I wear the color In It to Win It.

Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen Face Lotion

I've started using this cheaper face sunscreen from Target since running out of my favorite Tatcha sunscreen. I love that it's $15 and that it dries matte.

How to Be Married

Currently reading: How to Be Married by Jo Piazza. I originally bought this book two months ago and am just starting it. I love Jo's writing as it makes me feel like i've known her forever. I also love the cultural aspect of the book. Def. recommend!
